Rabbi Weisser

Michael Weisser, a New York Rabbi, had his faith tested when he moved to Nebraska and was targeted by Larry Trapp, the Grand Dragon of the Ku Klux Klan. Trapp would send threatening mail to the Rabbi’s home, with messages like, “The KKK is watching you, scum.”

“I heard you’re disabled, I thought you might need a ride to the grocery store.”

Rabbi Weisser got Trapp’s phone number and started calling him weekly and leaving messages of love on his answering machine. He said things like, “I heard you’re disabled, I thought you might need a ride to the grocery store,” and “There’s a lot of love in the world Larry, and you’re not getting any of it. Don’t you want some?”  You won’t believe what happens next.  Listen to the entire story here:
