I’m a fan of the Colorado Springs band, Eros and the Eschaton. “OMG I Am” off their new album, “Weight of the Matter,” invites us to rediscover our misplaced awe at being something rather than nothing. We’re sustained by an existence that we could not have created for ourselves. “OMG I Am” is an expression of wonder at consciousness (being personally aware) something that, a purely materialistic account of the universe can’t account for. We’re not necessary, consciousness isn’t necessary, joy isn’t necessary, and yet, here we are. A rad song. Listen here. Buy the album here.
