She and Him “I’ll be Home for Christmas” was originally recorded in 1943 by Bing Crosby. The song is sung from the point of view of a soldier writing a letter home during WWII. Everyone is familiar with the heartbreaking line, “I’ll be home for Christmas, if only in my dreams.” Many people will be in similar situations this Christmas, far from safety and home.
