Jackie Robinson Watch 42, the Jackie Robinson biopic, this weekend with your kids.  Certainly it will shock younger viewers to discover that in 1947 America was still an extremely racist and segregated place, with no blacks in “white baseball.”  Chadwick Boseman does an excellent job playing the real life hero, Jackie Robinson, who changed the world by integrating baseball and having the courage not to fight back when insulted and provoked.  And Harrison Ford does a fine job as Dogers exeutive Branch Rickey, trying to move the sport he loves away from its racist and separate but unequal past.
