After a long day (or year) “Wish I Was in Heaven Sitting Down” by the Mississippi blues man R.L. Burnside, is the perfect song for sitting on the back porch. Burnside sings vocals on the 2000 album of the same name, but was too old and sick at the time to play guitar. It would be his last recording. Burnside knew what it was to have family members murdered and to take a man’s life. Listen to the song and the album after the jump:
