Dar Williams’ song “I Had No Right” is about the late Catholic priests and peace activists, Daniel and Phillip Berrigan, and their acts of civil disobedience during the Vietnam War. The city of Ft. Lauderale, Florida has passed a law which makes it illegal to feed the homeless. This is a serious religious liberty issue. Fortunately, we have a new hero in 90 year-old homeless advocate and shoe salesman, Arnold Abbott, who faces possible jail time for breaking the law as an act of civil disobedience.
