Our own Melissa Musick writes for The National Catholic Reporter about her niece, Becky, who was “nothing” and became Jewish. She describes the ceremony in which she enters the mikvah, or ritual bath, and says in Hebrew, “Praised are you, the eternal one our God, ruler of the cosmos, who has kept us alive, sustained us, and enabled us to reach this moment.” Pope Francis has encouraged us to learn more about Judaism.
