Danya Ruttenberg is a rabbi. She writes in The New York Times about how her spiritual life changed after becoming a mother. “Sometimes my practice is traditional: singing with my children, saying words of liturgy to them and to God, as well as prayer in the conventional sense. But just as often, my prayer — offered up with intentionality to the divine — involves deep contemplation of my 1-year-old’s ear.
