I went to the Women’s March as a Pro-Life Feminist. Our signs addressed President Trump and said, “Character Counts. Welcome Refugees. Pro-Life Feminist. The Climate is A Common Good.” I went because I don’t want to get adjusted to this world. And we were welcomed with open arms. The seamless garment of life, which the Catholic Church teaches, is embedded in the story of Jesus Christ. Jesus chose to come into the world as: an unplanned pregnancy (a fetus), a refugee, a homeless person, a member of a small and humiliated tribe, a laborer, a tortured and executed criminal.
