In a gesture of mercy, Pope Francis is sending half a ton of food to families suffering hardships in one of Rome’s poorest neighborhoods. The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has announced that married priests will likely be ordained in Eastern Catholic Churches in the US, thus affirming the ancient tradition, and encouraging the restoration of unity between Catholic and Orthodox Christians.
