President Obama’s Affordable Care Act required employers to pay for their employees birth control and morning after pills like Plan B and Ella.  Today the Supreme Court declared that companies like Conestoga Wood and Hobby Lobby, with religious objections to paying for the destruction of fertilized human embryos, would not be required to violate their religious beliefs, so long as their employees could easily obtain the products elsewhere. Emma Green has the story in The Atlantic here: Supreme Court: Companies Can’t Be Required to Pay for Birth Control
